AMS is pleased to announce that its research and development plan was selected on June 26, 2026 for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) FY2026 Growth-Oriented R&D Support Program for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (Go-Tech Program), and that the Company received formal grant approval on August 31, 2026.
Through this program, AMS will work to resolve operational challenges facing clinical institutions as radionuclide (RI) therapy rapidly expands, contributing to the realization of a healthcare system in which patients can receive the treatment they need at the appropriate time.

Development of a Toilet-Integrated Urine Purification System to Reduce the Burden on Patients and Healthcare Professionals and Expand Access to Radionuclide Therapy
Research and Development Overview
This R&D initiative focuses on developing a toilet-integrated urine purification system that adsorbs and removes radioactive substances in patient urine following RI therapy — in real time, at the point of urination.
Building on AMS's proprietary adsorption column technology, the system integrates the entire process from urination to treatment in a single unit, eliminating the need for urine collection, transport, and separate disposal. The goal is to significantly reduce the physical burden on patients, the workload of healthcare professionals, and the risk of radiation exposure.
Furthermore, by improving the operational efficiency of special-measures hospital rooms and reducing the institutional burden associated with introducing and operating RI therapy, AMS aims to strengthen the national treatment infrastructure, improve patient access to care, and achieve broader, more equitable delivery of RI therapy across Japan.
Anticipated Social Impact
RI therapy for prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumors is expanding rapidly on a global scale. At the same time, challenges related to radioactive waste management, healthcare worker burden, and the operation of special-measures rooms represent significant constraints on the capacity to deliver these treatments.
Through this research and development effort, AMS will address these operational barriers and work toward a medical environment in which RI therapy can be delivered more safely and efficiently.

Grant Amount
