AMS today announced that it has filed international design applications with Tokyo Power Technology Ltd. to protect the design of the “column tube,” a core component of the world’s first rapid nuclear medicine biowaste treatment solution developed under Japan’s stringent regulatory framework. The application was submitted under the Hague System on October 31, 2025, followed by a national design filing in India on November 9, 2025.
The column tube is an essential component of the system and has been proven effective in removing Lu-177 radioactive contamination. Securing design protection enhances safeguards against unauthorized imitation, supports stable international collaborations, and strengthens the companies’ joint development framework.
These filings form part of AMS’s global intellectual property strategy to protect key design elements and support international expansion, with India positioned as a strategic growth market.
